We welcome singers of all ages and, although it helps, the ability to read music is not essential. You must however be able to attend rehearsals regularly and be willing to practice at home. Rehearsals can be hard work, but are enjoyable and fun, and afterwards it's not unknown for some of us to frequent a local hostelry for a small libation.
The usual rehearsal night is Thursday, 7.30 p.m. up to 9.45 p.m. at Uppermill Methodist Church, High Street, Uppermill, OL3 6AX with additional Tuesday and Sunday rehearsals as required prior to concerts and shows.
A Little More About Us
The Society was formed in September 1958 and continues to be the only Society in the Saddleworth area performing a varied annual programme of choral and musical items including an annual musical show.
The Society is a Registered Charity. No. 503676, is a member of the Greater Manchester Drama Federation (GMDF) and is affiliated to the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA).
